Gauls 15mm

The Gauls
The Gauls were Celtic peoples who inhabited much of central and western Europe, particularly modern-day France, Belgium, and parts of northern Italy and the Balkans. Divided into numerous tribes, such as the Aedui, Arverni, and Helvetii, the Gauls shared a common language and culture but often acted independently or competitively.
Gaulish warriors were known for their ferocity, mobility, and individual bravery. They typically fought with long swords, spears, and oval shields, and often favoured shock attacks. Some tribes are said to have fought bare-chested or naked, using appearance, war cries, and body paint to intimidate enemies. Chariots and cavalry were also used, especially in the early period.
Though fierce in close combat, the Gauls often lacked the discipline and coordinated tactics of their more centralised enemies, particularly the Romans. Nevertheless, they could be highly effective โ famously so in 390โฏBCE, when Gauls under Brennus sacked Rome.
As Roman influence expanded, many tribes allied with or resisted Roman control. The greatest resistance came from Vercingetorix, who led a broad revolt against Julius Caesar during the Gallic Wars (58โ50โฏBCE). After his defeat at Alesia, Gaul was gradually brought under Roman rule.

Where possible I have sculpted models to be self supporting. Where needed, I add supports during my sculpting process rather than afterward. The integration of supports into design allows me to reduce the number of supports needed, and to position them more favourably. My supports need to be removed with clippers or a scalpel. All models requiring supports are also supplied in an unsupported format in case you would prefer to have full control over support placement.
Some infantry models are also supplied in 13.5mm scale strips. Strip mounted models are supplied on strips intended for use on 60mm wide bases. If you wish to print my 15mm sculpts in 13.5mm please scale them by 0.9.
