Germanic Tribes 15mm

The Germanic Tribes
The Germanic tribes were diverse groups inhabiting regions east of the Rhine and north of the Danube, in what is now Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, and parts of Poland and Scandinavia. Though not a unified people, they shared linguistic and cultural roots and often formed loose tribal confederations.
Germanic warfare emphasised mobility, surprise, and aggression. Warriors were primarily infantry, armed with spears, short swords or axes, and large wooden shields. Many tribes lacked armour, fighting in light clothing or bare-chested, relying on ferocity and numbers. Raiding and ambushes were common tactics. Leadership in battle often came from charismatic war-chiefs rather than centralised kings.
From around the 2nd century BCE, Germanic tribes increasingly clashed with Rome. The Cimbri and Teutones invaded Roman territory around 113โ101โฏBCE, prompting a crisis that ended with their defeat by Marius. In 9โฏCE, the Cherusci leader Arminius famously destroyed three Roman legions in the Teutoburg Forest, halting Romeโs expansion into Germania.
Despite being seen by Romans as barbarians, Germanic tribes showed remarkable adaptability. By the 2nd century CE, some served as Roman allies or mercenaries, while others remained fierce opponents along the empireโs northern frontiers.

Where possible I have sculpted models to be self supporting. Where needed, I add supports during my sculpting process rather than afterward. The integration of supports into design allows me to reduce the number of supports needed, and to position them more favourably. My supports need to be removed with clippers or a scalpel. All models requiring supports are also supplied in an unsupported format in case you would prefer to have full control over support placement.
